Energy Made Fresh

Since moving into our new manufacturing facility, we have wanted to get solar panels installed. We were scared that Ray & Evon, the Sun stealers would end up at our place like in those Origin Energy ads. After a few months, we had the panels installed by the boys from SAE Group.

It has honestly been one of the best things we’ve done in the past year. We have a 30kw photo-voltaic system on our roof. It delivers up to 180 kilowatt hours of energy on the best days ( luckily that is most Queensland days). We are looking at around 50 megawatt hours total per year.  This is more than our total electrical energy use.

Since we manufacture products for the kids, it was fitting that we at least play our part in reducing our carbon footprint. With the cost recovery period being less than five years, we encourage everyone to investigate the potential.
