Working closely with the council and contractors, our play experts were tasked with custom designing a high timber nature playground that maximised space and created multi-level play.
Range
Standing balance swings, a large nest swing and a ‘shop’ are just some of the play elements featured, with the transparent timber structure broadening kids’ field of vision to the surrounding parkland. The fort also allows for ramp access, with several activities suited to all abilities.
A water pump with reservoir indicates the start of a dedicated nature trail, designed to encourage children to explore and investigate their natural surroundings. Based upon a palette of timber, rocks, leaves, bark and stones, the trail features a series of log steppers, a teepee, totem poles and bespoke animal carvings.
