A Utopia Deep in the Outback

April 13, 2016

The Urapuntja Health Clinic in Utopia NT, sent us a lovely video, we had to share. The local kids made this video with the help of The Batchelor Institute.

About Utopia

Utopia actually refers to the region consisting of 15 outstations spread over 3500 square kilometers. To get there from Alice Springs is 160km, but takes approx. 7 hours to drive each way.

According to the staff at the clinic, Utopia has a variable population of between 800 and 1500 people. The people living on this land are of the Alyawarra and Anmatjere tribal groups

These are the kids from community who are looking forward to a new playground. It will be more fun than the old cars at Soapy!
